Last week Monday, I did the 28 week gestational diabetes test and other blood work and of course the urine test.
I had a Dr's appointment today to find out how it went. Well the heart rate is 158 and my weight is 105.7 kg (232lbs). The gestational diabetes test came back and it was normal. The blood work came back indicating that my iron is low. No surprise there really because I was often anemic when I wasn't pregnant. So now the Dr wants me to go on iron supplements.
I have a picture and will update that too eventually. It was taken last week but I have to get it off the camera and I'm quite tired and don't feel like getting up at the moment. (Must be the low iron in me) ;-)
So now I go to the Dr every 2 weeks now...till I'm 36 weeks.
I was also comforted to know more about the hospital today. There was a couple in the waiting room that I was chatting with while waiting for the Dr. They highly recommened the Dr and the hospital...That put me to ease because I wasn't sure what to expect seeing as we lived in the Capital City and therefore delivered Rebekah in one of the hospitals. From the sound of it...this hospital is quite nice and new inside the delivery room (we know this hospital was newer than the one that I had delivered Rebekah in.) The couple said it was very nice because it was like you were delivering in bedroom... They also have private rooms for after the delivery. (also nice because I was stuck in a semi-private room with Rebekah and the other person didn't speak any English and pucked everywhere when I 1st came into the room and then to top it off the spouse came in at 5ish and talked in the another language really loudly.) I think that the next time I go to do the urine test, I will ask to have a tour or at least to take a look around for a bit.
