Dr's appointment

So I had an appointment today with Dr. V. Things seem to be good. My due date according to him is July 4th. According the 1st u/s on Dec 17th my due date was July 1, 2008 and according to this latest u/s on Feb 20th my due date was July 6, 2008. But he's keeping it July 4th because they are only a week off.

He did tell me that the last u/s showed no abnormalities so that was music to my ears and what a relief! Anyway, today's FHR was 132(or was it 135) I can't remember he did have a slight accent. My weight was 100.5 kg...which bugs me because I go by pounds not kilograms...so I have to figure it out and it means I'm 221 lbs!!! (This does mean that I've gained 6 pounds so far...which isn't that bad really because I thought I gained more this time and my goal is to only gain the minimal 26 lbs...(even though I've been eating like a pig!!!) But I'm measuring right on...21 weeks. He didn't tell me anything about my blood pressure but I'm assuming that that was normal as well. He did also tell me to take my vitamins so that my hemoglobin goes up so I don't have a bigger baby and be totally anemic when the baby comes. I was also comforted when he told me that he's been delivering babies for 20 years and has lots of experience.

Ultrasound and 21 weeks

Hi! Just thought that I would update really quickly on the ultrasound that I had on Wednesday for Baby #2. Things seemed to have gone ok. They weren't very talkative like the tech that I had with Rebekah. (with Rebekah they even told me what ovary she came from, the heart rate and confirmed her due date and that all her parts were there.) This one...not so much...must be because of the different health regions. I did manage to get out of her that the heart rate was 136. And because another tech came in to see what (if anything) she missed...I found out that Baby #2 has "an excellant looking 4-chambered heart." (The tech must have been new.) It took 1/2 hour to do the ultrasound. I did ask if they could tell the gender and she said that she could only guess that it was a 80% chance of it being a boy. She couldn't get the baby to roll over to see the parts very well. According to my dates I think that I was 20 weeks for the ultrasound. According to the ovulation kit that I took before us trying to get pregnant I'm still thinking that there is a chance that this might still be a girl....like I've been thinking it was since the beginning. I'm not sure any more obviously. I only asked because Dylan couldn't come with to the appointment and he really wanted to know.
I took Rebekah with me and that was a big mistake. 1st my bladder was too full so they took a couple shots (for 5 minutes) and then I went to pee. Then half way through Rebekah needed to go pee. Rebekah was getting restless and would get on and off the bed, would play with the knobs on the bed (causing me to go down) and then would talk rather loudly too. All in all she did do a good job because it did take sometime.
I should go...I have another Dr's appointment next week Tuesday with the family dr that does most delivery's in this City. I was referred by my family dr that no longer does deliveries. I shall keep you posted.

Long over due Update

There you have it. I couldn't believe it. I did home pregnancy tests 7 times and then my family dr here did a blood test just to make sure. I had such a hard time believe that I am pregnant the Dr. had to reasure me. "Yes, You are indeed pregnant." I did the hpt 7 times because the 1st and 3rd one were from the Dollar Store and the blue tip ones are bought on the internet. The pink one was a Wal-Mart brand. Anyway, I'm currently 18 weeks along. I haven't felt the baby just yet (I didn't feel Rebekah till I was 20+ weeks so part of me thinks this will be the same.) I had an early ultrasound at 11 weeks because of my previous history with pregnancies etc. The ultrasound went well. The babies heart rate was 162 at the ultrasound and past fetal heart rates (at the dr's visits etc) have been 156 and 152 respectfully. At the last Dr's appointment (when the fhr was 152, I was measuring 20 weeks but my weight is 99.1 kg.(218lbs) So far my weight started out at 215 at my complete medical in October and that was before I was pregnant (actually around the time I would have been ovulating) Ideally, I don't want to gain to much and if I do I just want to gain the usual 26 pounds that the books recommend. My family dr no longer delivers so I'm being referred to another family Dr. here to do that. Hopefully, I'll hear from them soon. I think that is a quick update but nonetheless an update. Hopefully, I'll keep you updated more frequently now that I'm out of the 1st trimester of sleeping lots and gagging. Things are going good.
